JRF Aorta Advocate Update

Aug 1, 2023
1 min read

Our Board Chair spent a weekend with 20 other people affected by Aortic Aneurysms, Dissections, and ruptures as part of the Aorta Advocate program launched by the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health (JRF). The weekend was intense, with people sharing their stories. Some people share stories of their strengths and how they have overcome life with Aortic Dissection and aneurysms. In contrast, others shared their heart-wrenching stories of loss from their Husbands, wives, and Children who were not fortunate enough to survive their dissection.

An Aorta Advocate's purpose is to help those who have had a recent Aortic Dissection, Aneurysm, or rupture. When you have a disease that can take your life at any minute with no warning, or you have just lost someone in that way, it can be complicated to navigate your way. That is where us Aorta Advocates come in. We will help you on your Journey. We have access to a lot of material. So if Aortic Disease impacts you or you know someone who is, don't hesitate to contact the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. We are here to help you. https://johnritterfoundation.org/about-us/contact-us/
